Minnesota Pet Store Chain Now Selling CBD Pet Products

Marihuana

One of Minnesota’s premier pet supply stores is now offering several varieties of pet CBD products. All 30 of Chuck & Don’s locations will offer treats and oils. All of the products contain hemp-derived CBD.

Chuck & Don’s made sure that the companies they’ve selected to stock have stringently tested their CBD products for quality control and to contain no detectable amounts of THC, Pet Age reports. CBD products are legal in Minnesota providing that they contain 0.3-percent THC or less. The store has taken the necessary steps to ensure that the products they offer are compliant.

Chuck & Don’s CEO Bob Hartzell said, “Chuck & Don’s is devoted to selling the highest-quality products that enable owners to provide the optimal level of care for their pets. We’ve seen strong demand for CBD products in the Colorado market and we are excited to offer our customers in our Minnesota market the opportunity to give CBD products to their pets in need.”

Veterinarian Dr. Elizabeth Parks said, “There’s a lot of excitement from pet owners to find a safe and effective option for chronic pain and anxiety that improves the quality of life for their pets. We cannot as veterinary professionals claim any health benefits due to the limited research of CBD and legal restrictions, but the experiences patients are having using CBD products is matching that expectation in a positive way.”

It is ideal to give pets a CBD product after a meal but up to 15 minutes before the meal is okay too.
