Minnesotans Provide Mixed Reviews About State’s Medical Marijuana Program

State Marijuana Law

Minnesota’s medical marijuana program is almost two years old. Feedback regarding the program has been mixed. Some say it’s helped thousands of people and others say the program’s restrictions make it hard to move forward.

A public forum is being held regarding the state’s medical marijuana program on June 8, Post Bulletin announced. The Post Bulletin Dialogue wants to know how medical marijuana is affecting patients. They want to know how well the program and/or medicine is working.

A discussion regarding the future of the program is also planned. Executive Editor Jay Furst is joining the conversation. Dr. Tom Arneson of the Office of Medical Cannabis will answer questions. Maren Joyce Schroeder, from Sensible Minnesota, will also be present. A patient, Andy Gwynn will speak about how the program has helped him. Other speakers are also planned.

The public forum is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. and last until 8 p.m. The forum is being held at the Rochester Public Library auditorium. Coffee and cookies will be available.

If you are unable to attend, you can email it to furst@postbulletin.com and it will be addressed at the forum.
